Our Work Speaks

We've had the privilege of shaping spaces that people actually want to spend time in. Here's a look at some projects we're genuinely proud of.

This one was a challenge we loved tackling. The client wanted a tech space that didn't feel like your typical sterile corporate environment. We went with exposed timber ceilings, natural light flooding through floor-to-ceiling glass, and collaboration zones that actually encourage people to hang out. The building's now LEED Gold certified, which wasn't easy given the existing structure we had to work with.

Seawall Residence

Working with the homeowners on this project felt more like a collaboration than a job. They wanted something modern but warm, and views that took advantage of the waterfront location. We designed the house around the natural slope, using cantilevered sections to minimize the footprint. Geothermal heating keeps it cozy year-round, and honestly, the sunset views from the main living area are unreal.

Gastown Revival

Vancouver, BC • 2021

Heritage work is tricky because you're balancing preservation with modern needs. This 1898 building had great bones but needed serious structural updates. We kept the original brick facade and timber framing intact while completely modernizing the interior. The city's heritage committee was pretty strict, but we managed to sneak in some contemporary touches that actually complement the original character.

Verdant Market

Kitsilano, Vancouver • 2023

This organic grocery store wanted to practice what they preach with their building. We used reclaimed wood throughout, installed a living green wall that actually helps with air quality, and designed the layout to maximize natural ventilation. The lighting was a fun puzzle - we needed bright enough for retail but wanted to avoid that harsh grocery store vibe. The result feels more like a farmer's market than a supermarket.

Mixed-Use

Fraser & 10th

Vancouver, BC • 2022

Mixed-use projects are always interesting because you're juggling different needs in one building. Ground floor retail, mid-level offices, and residential units on top. The tricky part was acoustic separation - nobody wants to hear the cafe grinder at 6am when they're trying to sleep. We also created shared rooftop gardens that give residents and office workers a place to decompress. The neighborhood's responded really well to it.

Yaletown Loft

This was a complete gut renovation of a 90s condo that had seen better days. The owners are art collectors, so we designed the space around their pieces. Neutral palette, track lighting, and flexible walls that can be reconfigured. The kitchen opens completely to the living area with a hidden sliding system. It's a small space that lives way bigger than its square footage suggests.

Ember Restaurant

Restaurant design is all about atmosphere and flow. The chef wanted an open kitchen concept where diners could watch the action, but we also needed proper ventilation and noise control. We used a combination of acoustic panels disguised as design elements and strategic layout planning. The outdoor patio integration was a last-minute addition that ended up being everyone's favorite feature, especially during Vancouver's brief but glorious summers.

Lynn Valley Family Home

North Vancouver, BC • 2022

Designing for a family with three kids and two dogs meant durability was just as important as aesthetics. We used materials that can take a beating - concrete floors with radiant heating, quartz countertops, and wall panels that hide the inevitable scuffs. The mudroom we designed has become the most-used space in the house. Parents keep telling us it's saved their sanity during rainy season.
